Albert Schafer
June 16, 1935 — March 8, 2014
Albert Francis Schafer, age 78 of Lonoke, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on March 8, 2014. Albert was known for his kindness and impeccable work ethic. He retired from AFCO Steel after a devoted 47 years. He also retired from the National Guard (45) years where he enjoyed serving his country and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion and daughter Debbie. He is survived by his son Robert of Little Rock; brothers, Edward, Melvin and Elbert, all of Carlisle and a sister Thelma Munnerlyn of Lonoke.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m.Wednesday, March 12 at Hester Cemetery.
