Garland Mcdonald

Garland Lewis McDonald, age 73, transferred his membership to the church triumphant on November 18, 2013. He was a member of Mt Zion United Methodist Church. He was a retired electrician with the VA Hospital at Ft. Roots in North Little Rock. He was a Master Mason Lodge #51, F&AM, Past Patron of Lonoke OES #421, member of Hazen Chapter 5 and Florence chapter 15, Past Worthy Grand Patron OES of Arkansas, Shriner Semitar Temple Little Rock.
Preceding him in death was his father, Gordon McDonald, stepdad Claude A. Zimmer, mother Hazel Inez Baily Zimmer, sister, Wilma Shue and wife Martha LaVonne Easley McDonald.
He is survived by daughters Tanya (Kerry) Childers and Lea A. (Jeff) Lindsey; four grandsons, Derrek, Brandon, Adam and Bradley; six great-grandchildren; three nieces and a host of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 19 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20 at Mt Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Mt Zion United Methodist Church, Concord Cemetery Association or the Arkansas Heart Association. www,boydfuneralhome.net.
