Jewell Rochelle

Lonoke – Jewell B. Rochelle, 95, of Lonoke, AR passed away peacefully on November 11, 2014 after a gradual decline in health.  She and her late husband owned Rochelle Farms in Lonoke.  They were among the first rice farmers in Lonoke County, AR.   Jewell was a beloved member of the Lonoke Apostolic Church.  She was loved and respected by her family and friends for her grace, kindness and gentleness.  She was surrounded by a host of family, nurses and wonderful Hospice caregivers during the last days of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph S. Rochelle of 58 years, three sisters and grandson, Dr. Joseph M. Rochelle.   Those left to cherish her memory include son, Joseph W. Rochelle (Fay), daughter, Carolyn Dyson (Paul), five grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Lonoke Apostolic Church, Fifth & Eagle St. in Lonoke, AR.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. Arrangements are by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
