L.C. Sanders

L.C. Sanders, 77, of Vilonia, Arkansas passed away December 11, 2021 at home. He was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas on July 19, 1944 to the late Cecil and Lois Sanders.

L.C. was a devoted family man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a man of many talents and trades. His main profession was working timber along side his sons.

His hobbies included being outdoors, working, building things, horseback riding, old cars and trucks, spending time with his family and friends, and watching westerns. L.C. loved his family dearly and he will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Houston Sanders; father-in-law, Raymond Hill; mother-in-law, Mae Hill; brother-in-law, Raymond G. Hill; sisters-in-law, Helen Marie Hill, Clara Jean Sanders, and Patricia Sanders; son-in-law, Michael Bell, Sr; nephew, Robert Sanders; and grandson, Shawn Emmit Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Florence Louise Sanders; brothers, Larry Sanders, Don Sanders, Sr. (Patricia), and Randall Lee Sanders (Carmen); four children, Tammy Williams (Shanley), Shelley Bell, Ray Sanders (Samantha), and Craig Sanders (Mandi); 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Boyd Funeral Home, 207 E 2nd St. in Lonoke, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM at the funeral home.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Ray Sanders, through Boyd Funeral Home, to go toward the purchase of a headstone.
