Margaret Kimsey
October 31, 1945 — May 26, 2014
Margaret Elaine Rockwell Kimsey of Stuttgart, was born in Humnoke Arkansas on October 31, 1945 to the late Jesse and Mae (Meyers) Rockwell.
She left this world peacefully on May 26, 2014 from her daughter’s home in Michigan after a battle with cancer. This was made possible by the care provided by McLaren Hospice, Dr Kamaraju, Dr Kim, Dr Grover and tremendous support of MMHAVC. Besides her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by 3 husbands, Wayne Carpenter, Clyde Cole and Donald Kimsey as well as three brothers, Nathaniel, Farrell and Bill Rockwell; and four sisters, Dink Looney, Sis Harrison, Dorothy Rose and Violet Jones.
Elaine leaves behind her children: James Rockwell of Stuttgart, Eugene Carpenter (Ashley) of Hazen, Kelly Foco (Brian) of Kawkawlin, Michigan and Robert Carpenter (Michele) of Lonoke, Six grandchildren: Dawne, Ashley, Chrystal, Jessica, Jesse and Haley and four great grandchildren: Kaelynn, Albert “Fuddle”, Warden and Halley; one brother Bocus Rockwell (Joy) of Humnoke; three sisters, Rosie Carter of Humnoke, Betty Underwood (Lewis) of Carlisle, Louise “Puddin” O’Neal of Sherwood.
A gathering time of family and friends will take place Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
Memorial services are 2 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel. She will lie in state on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 10 a.m. until service time. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
