Anna Jo Brady Coffman, 90, of Lonoke Arkansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, surrounded by loved ones in her home.
Anna Jo was born on April 10, 1934 to the late William (Bill) Atlas Wharton and Gladys Ruth Cordell- Wharton in Pettus, Arkansas.
She was a real country girl at heart. She loved riding horses and playing her guitar. She had the most beautiful yard and spent many hours digging in the dirt, planting plants, flowers and perfecting her flower beds. She loved watching football on Sundays and never missed a chance to go hunting or fishing. She enjoyed traveling the world, especially Hawaii and Argentina. She only liked to get somewhere one way and that was to get there fast. Some of her most favorite days were spent at Oaklawn, watching the horse races. Above all, she loved and cherished her family dearly.
After working many years in the dental field as a Dental Assistant, in 1970, Anna Jo found her true passion in cosmetology when she completed her Clinical Medical Electrologist Degree. She continued this profession for more than 40 years. During that time, she formed life-long friendships with her “shop girls”. She had many clients over the years that became more like family to her.
Anna Jo is survived by her loving husband Roger Coffman of Lonoke; sons, Mike (Dot) Brady of Hazen, David Scott Brady of Conway, Roger (Brandy) Coffman of Lonoke, Chance Coffman of Lonoke; daughters, Shawn (David) Taylor of Lonoke, and Susan (Darryl) Beatty of Ward.
