Benjamin Livingston

December 7, 1952 — January 19, 2015

Benjamin Thomas Livingston, 62, returned to his heavenly home on
January 19, 2015 after a valiant battle with illness. His devotion to his
family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately
gave him peace.

Ben was born to the late M.O. and Ruth Livingston, a school principal and
a science teacher respectively, in Little Rock, AR on December 7, 1952. He was immersed in the
Christian community that would be his lifelong support from an early age. He was
an excellent student as an adolescent. Ben graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on August 26, 1974 with a degree in political science. He attended law school at the University of Arkansas shortly after obtaining his bachelor's degree. Ben was blessed with a large and loving family and was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 26, 1988. He married his best friend and true love, Loretta Faye Smith, on January 7, 1975 in Little Rock, AR.  Ben helped raise his three children with patience, discipline, and respect. He taught them to read, solve problems dealing with school and social life, and regularly took them on family trips to see the natural beauty of America. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to Christ and encouraged them to explore the glory of God's word. Ben was a leader at heart. He was a fair man and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with our Lord and Savior.

Ben is survived by his beloved wife, Faye; his sons Sean and Christopher Livingston, his daughter Tiffany Livingston, his sister Stephanie Livingston Rowe, and nephew Nicholas Rowe. Ben will be remembered in a service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Conway, AR - Dave Ward Drive) at 2:00 pm on January 24th. Bishop Douglas Christiansen will officiate the service. The family gratefully declines flowers and donations, but prayers and condolences are gladly accepted and appreciated. The family also sends its deep gratitude to the cardiovascular team at Conway Regional Medical Center for their dignified manner and attentive care.
