Bonnie Bernice Mashburn, of Stuttgart, Arkansas took her last breath on this Earth, Friday morning, January 3, 2020. Bernice was born March 24, 1931 in Snake Island, Arkansas. She went to a grand reunion with her parents, Dave and Jewell Calvert, her sister, Alice Tye (Harold), sons, Earl Carter, Jr. (Brenda), the infants Bobby and David Carter and her husband, Bobby Mashburn. Bernice’s blended family, through marriages to Earl Carter, then Bobby resulted in surviving children, Earlene (Larry) Tyler, Jeraldene (Jim) Hawkins and Rick and Mike Mashburn. There are 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Along with surviving brothers Bertram and Marion Calvert, she held each of these near and dear to her heart. She was a Baptist. Her entire world consisted of keeping in touch with family and friends. Her final words to one and all are, “To my family, friends and love ones, I cherish the memories of each of you. Please meet me in Heaven”. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Humnoke. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery.
