Cecil Tucker, Jr.

Cecil Braxton Tucker, Jr., 80, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away on February 27, 2023. He was born in Lepanto, Arkansas on March 15, 1942 to the late Cecil and Jinny Tucker.

Cecil grew up in the small town of Lepanto, Arkansas, where he picked cotton. He eventually moved to Little Rock, where he worked as a parking lot attendant and finally retired as a sub-contractor. He was truly a jack of all trades and a master of most! He was loved by many, was always joking around and making everyone laugh, especially his family. He loved his grandkids dearly, and his baby girl Harmony, also known as ‘his dumplin’, could do no wrong.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Burie, Lajoy, Colleen, and Tommy; and grandson, Keith Bradley Nielsen.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Tucker; children, Denice (Ron) Theis, Braxton Tucker, and Kriston (Kevin) Bailey; grandchildren, Joey (Christi) Theis, Caleb Theis, Harmony Tucker, Jax Bailey, Harper Tucker, Hanna (Tyler) Standley, and Hayden (Earl Ross) Downs; great-grands, Noah and Isaac Theis, Haylee Nielsen, Bradley Nielsen, Hudson, Standley, and Dru Downs; a very special sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Simpson; best friends, John Henry and Carolyn Carson; many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Boyd Funeral Home, in Lonoke, Arkansas. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM.
