Charles Wallace Hardin, 82, of Jacksonville was received in the arms of his Lord and Savor and his wife Gladys McWhorter Hardin on February 25, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Fred Elam Hardin & Viola Mae Hart. During his lifetime he was a very respected carpenter. He was also very well known in the car business. He loved buying and selling cars, trucks, trailers or anything he could make a deal on. He especially loved Chevrolet trucks and John Deere tractors. He loved his family and always made sure they had everything they needed. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. 

He is survived by his children with 1st wife Linda Wyatt (now Moore) - Elam, Wesley, Ronnie (Angel), Renee (Tim) Dudderar and Michelle Burks. Children from his second wife Gladys-Dennis (Debbie) Gibbins, Claira (Darrell) Burns, Pam (Randy) Buck and Rhonda Myers. 3 sisters Margaret Kirk, Carolyn Slane, Rhonda (Michael) Thornsberry; and 4 brothers Mike (Sherry) Hardin, David Hardin, Tim (Rita) Hardin, John (Deanna) Hardin; and sister in law Karen Hardin; numerous grand and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 23 years Gladys McWhorter Hardin; 2 brothers Lane and Doyle Hardin; and his sister Thelma Hardin.
