Charlotte Norene McArthur

Charlotte Norene Scallion Snider McArthur of Carlisle, Arkansas, went home to her Lord and Savior July 28, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born September 25, 1931, to William Taylor Scallion and Eugenia Coffelt Scallion in Carlisle, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Loyce McArthur, the father of her children; C. C. Snider; daughter, Debbie Mayher; siblings, Pete and Bill Scallion, Dorothy Romo, Vera Funk, Imogene Roberts, Mary Earls, Patsy Boyer and Audrey Persall.

She is survived by her children, Diane (Mike) Uhiren, Cheri (Gary) Henderson and Cecil Snider. Grandchildren, Samantha (Michael) Barton, Michelle (Randy) Hurst, Shannon (Jamie) Sledd, Brian Wicklund, Brandon (Nicole) Uhiren, Brad Mayher, Sha (Elton) O’Neal and Sloane Henderson. Great Grandchildren, Tanner Leatherman, Kristen (Ryan) Casey, Braden Mayher, Garrett Hurst, Taylor Sledd, Austin Hurst, Payton Wicklund, Audrey (Evan) Crow, Bradley Mayher, Blake Uhiren, Hunter Wicklund, Gretchen O’Neal, Harper O’Neal and Carson Uhiren.

Great Great Grandchildren, Ellie Hurst, Opal Alexander, Rylee Casey and Kash Uhiren.

She is also survived by brother-in-law, Leroy Boyer, sister-in-law, Opal Crider and son-in-law, Dennis Mayher and many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte grew up south of Carlisle and went to school at Zion until the 8th grade. She spent most of her life as a homemaker where she loved to bake and cook something that would be on the stove in case anyone came by. She enjoyed having a garden and mowing yards and was proud that she took care of the grounds at the Old Carlisle Cemetery for 7 years. She spent time on word search and reading her bible. Charlotte was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Carlisle, Arkansas. Special thanks to the staff at Chambers Nursing Home for the care given to her the last 20 months.
