Cindy Nunez, 61, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, left this world, February 2, 2024. Cynthia was born to Richard and Erlinda Ruiz in Los Angeles, California April 19, 1962.
Cindy grew up in Los Angeles with her parents and siblings, until she moved to Sacramento, California at the age of 22. There with her husband Ray, she raised her three children, and worked tirelessly as a mother and housewife. California was her heart, her home and the place she felt she belonged. She left Sacramento with her three children in 1999, to join her sister Annie, in Arkansas. There Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking special meals for large family gatherings, and was always ready for a spur of the moment lunch and a quick shopping trip with her daughters.
Cindy was known for her witty sarcasm, her fierce loyalty, her excellent advice and her wonderful cooking.
She was everything we needed her to be. She was our best friend, keeper of secrets, philosopher, and our safe haven. She taught us that it was okay to be yourself. She taught us to be more accepting, more patient and more thoughtful. She was so funny and so smart and so beautiful but would never believe it of herself.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Nunez; sisters, Annie Culpepper, and Christy Ruiz.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Raymond Nunez; daughters, Eva (Aaron) Landreth, and Katherine (Nathan) Kuhnert; grandchildren, Tobias, Lucas, and Lola Landreth, Raymond and Mia Nunez, and Caleb Kuhnert; brother, Richard Ruiz; sister, Terry Teitelbaum, along with several nieces and nephews.
