It is with great sorrow that we announce that Donald "Bud" Brewer, of Carlisle, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
"Bud" and his twin sister, Martha "Sis" Swanson, were born January 29, 1947, in Mena, Arkansas to L.E. and Edith-Mae (McKenzie)Brewer. He spent 12 years serving as a Lonoke County Reserve Deputy and many more as a local farmer. His favorite past time was going hunting with his sons and grandsons, playing dice with the love of his life, Judy, and spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends, and ministering to everyone about his Jesus.
He was proceeded in death by his son, Donald "Crockett" Brewer, both his parents and several brothers and sisters.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Judy J. (Schrimsher) Brewer, his son Douglas L. Brewer (Lisha), his eight grandchildren; Monica Croucher (Rob), Gene Brewer (Jenny), Brandon Brewer (Alyssa), Matthew Brewer (Brittney), Jessica Skillern (Lukas), Donnavan Brewer (Cortney), Cody Brewer, and Chelsea Brewer-Griggs (Jason) and his 23 Great-Grandchildren. Along with his three sisters, Martha "Sis" Swanson (Fred) of Texas, Betty-Lou May (widowed) and Lily Sanders (Teddy) both of Ward, Arkansas.
Everyone who knew "Bud" knew how he was. He was full of light, love, joy, positivity, and plenty of advice about love and life. His attitude and personality were contagious to all, after even just a single metting with him. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his passing and he will be greatly missed more than words can say.
