Donny Lenard

Retired Staff Sargent (SSG) Donny Ray Lenard, 55, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away October 27, 2021. He was born January 24, 1966, in Searcy, Arkansas to Oran and Evelyn Lenard.

Donny met his wife, Amanda, at Cabot High School were they both became High School Sweethearts.

After High School, his goal was to serve his country and joined the Army. He asked his sweetheart to marry him and follow him around the world. He served for 20 years which took him from Germany, Louisiana, Texas, Korea, Kentucky, and back home to Arkansas.

Donny retired with many accommodations and ribbons: Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Nation Defense Service Medal, Korea Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with number 2, Army Service Ribbon.

Donny retired from the Army to devote his time to his beloved wife and his children and their many activities that range from showing cattle, horse events, softball, baseball, and football. Donny was passionate about football and loved to root for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

He is survived by his loving wife Amanda Lenard; four children, Melissa, Mitchell, Nathan, and Natalie; mother, Evelyn Lenard; grandchildren Ty, Wyatt, and Cameron; along with many extended family members.

He is preceded in death by, father, Oran Lenard, Jr.; sister, Amanda Kay Lenard; grandfather, Oran Felix Lenard, Sr., Odile “Dealie” Lenard-Hillburn, Ed Roe and Charlie Brown,; grandmother, Virginia Roe, Hattie Brown, Lilly Davidson; grandparents Jimmie and Dorothy Johnson; aunt, Elaine Carpenter; and uncle, Jerry Johnson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday November 3, 2021, at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Arkansas with burial to follow at Lonoke Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 PM November 2, 2021, at Boyd Funeral Home.
