Dorothy Faye Elmore, 86, of Carlisle, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on July 13, 2019. She shared 60 years of marriage with her husband, Bill E. Elmore with whom she is now reunited. They enjoyed a life of farming as a team.
Dorothy was a life-long member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and spent decades as the treasurer. She devoted much of her time to civic work in the Carlisle area. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill E. Elmore; her parents, Charlie and Lena Parker; her sister, Katharin Bailey; her brothers, Elton Parker, Alfred Charlie Parker, Bernie Parker and Otis Parker; loving daughters, Sylvia Lee Elmore and Dorothy Jean Elmore.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Billie Ruth Parker of Lonoke; her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Gary Loftis of Carlisle; grandsons, Heath Loftis (Ashley) of Stuttgart and Garrett Loftis (Tiffany) of Carlisle; great-grandchildren, Tenley, Griffen, Garrison and Elizabeth Loftis.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dorothy’s care givers Kaye Tipton and Anita Bowlan also to Themla Shook who spent Saturdays shopping and just being there.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton United Methodist Church on Monday, July 15, 2019 followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hamilton United Methodist Church or Hamilton Cemetery.
