Earl Stanford (Buddy) Gibbins, Jr., 92 of Lonoke passed away on February 10, 2021. He was born on October 18, 1928 to the late Earl S., Sr and Versie Toy Linn Gibbins in Seaton Dump, Arkansas. Buddy was the 5th child of 13 and the oldest boy born into the family. He started to work in the fields at the age of 10, later to become a cotton ginner and farmer, retiring at the age of 75. He was married to the love of his life, Lillie for 66 ½ years. Buddy’s word was his bond. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Mae Mask Gibbins; sisters, Jessie Cox, Earnestine Whittenburg, Thelma Folkner, Maxine Folkner, Betty Whittenburg , Annie Carolyn Gibbins and 2 infant sisters; brother, Hulen Gibbins. Buddy is survived by daughters, Joyce Hill, Cathy Gibbins, Phyllis (David) Park, Earline (Jeff) Mowrer all of Lonoke and Kim Gibbins of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Lim Hill, Brenda Hill Moran, Kenny (Amy) Hill, Leslie Park Wilson, Josh (Jennifer) Mowrer all of Lonoke, Dusty (Jennifer) Park of Carlisle and Alex Gibbins of Hot Springs; great-grandchildren, Brady Graves of Bentonville, Stan Moran, Sunni Moran, Luke Hill, Lauren Hill, Parker Wilson, Dixie Mowrer, Josh Mowrer Lillie Jo Mowrer all of Lonoke and Morgan Park of Carlisle; sister, Sarah Hawthorne of Dallas, TX; brothers, Joe Gibbins of Cabot and Vancie Gibbins of Cement, OK, and many niece and nephews along with lots of extra “6th” daughters. A come and go visitation will be 3-5 pm, Friday, February 12 at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, February 13 at New Testament Baptist Church in Lonoke with a visitation starting at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hebron Cemetery Fund, Carlisle, AR. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
In accordance with the Arkansas State Guidelines, face mask are required and social distancing practices will be in place.
