Emma Mcgee

Emma Jean McGee, aged 83, passed away early Thursday morning, September 12, 2013. A lifelong resident of Lonoke, she was born on June 27, 1930 to Guy and Ethel Galloway Cartright. For 44 years Emma owned and operated Emma’s Furniture where she always enjoyed visiting with her customers.  She is survived by her children; Brenda McGee, Lonoke, Rita McGee, Lonoke, Wayne (Shannon) McGee, Lonoke; 3 grand-children; Heath (Norma) Chambers, Kelly (Jessie) Bickers, and Haley McGee; 2 great-grand-children; Sabrina and Brandon Chambers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Doyne, a son , Alfred and siblings; Alfred Cartright, Dorothy Rettig, Janette Tilbury and Laverne Hammons.

Visitation will be at Boyd Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday September 14.  Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 15 at Boyd Funeral Home with interment in Brownsville cemetery
