Emma Staton

Emma Jean Staton, 65 of Little Rock was born on October 11, 1950 in Carlisle and passed away on February 28, 2016. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Little Rock and a retired Contract Supervisor for the State of Arkansas. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Simpson Staton and Florance May Rice Staton, brother Billy Joe Staton and sister Martha Ann Staton. Survivors include sister Betty (Jim) Emerson of DeWitt, brothers M.D. Staton, Johnny (Jeannie) Staton, Lee (Sharon) Staton all of Lonoke, nieces Amanda Staton, Beth Emerson and Ashley Staton, nephews Michael Emerson, Kelly Qualls, Phillip Staton and Benjamin Staton, great-nieces Grace Hicks, Bella Hicks, Kali Emerson and Alyssa Butler, and great-nephew Bryce Hicks. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
