Essie was a loving, kindhearted person with a servant’s heart.  There is nothing she loved more than cooking for and serving others.  Her home was always open to friends and family, and there was always food cooking on the stove, and a warm friendly welcome to anyone who would like to stop by for a cup of coffee.  She was also an avid fisherman in her younger years, this was evidenced by her own boat, motor and Zebco rod and reel.  She also loved her family with a sacrificial love that will never be forgotten.  Most of all she loved her church and her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  No doubt she will be waiting in Heaven to welcome her friends and family into Jesus loving arms.
