Mrs. Florence Summons-Jenkins was born February 16, 1926 to the late Willie and Corine Summons. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Gumwood Baptist Church in Keo, AR where she was an active member of the the choir until her health failed. Aunt Florence, loved reading her bible, working word search, giving out good advice to everyone especially how to cook greens and hot water cornbread. She loved gardening and beautiful plants. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters that she raised Lillie Carter(Rev. Michael), Ernestine Evans(Roger) and Geanice Hunter; two step daughters Aletha Wright (Rev. Billy), Mary Wesley, two stepsons Herman Jenkins and Ernest Jenkins, two brothers, Rev Lloyd Summons and Albert Summons and five sisters, Esther Summons, Eddie Mahone, Dorothy McCoy, Lucille James and Willie Mae Shorty and also a special friend Tina Martin. Her husband Deacon John Jenkins and two brothers Eugene Summons and Rev. Sylvester Summons and one sister Eloise Summons preceded her in death. 24 Grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
