Freddie Glenn Evans, 90, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away surrounded by family on February 16, 2023. He was born in Des Arc, Arkansas on March 21, 1932 to the late Louis and Enner Evans.
Loving son, brother, husband, father, favorite uncle, friend to many, Air Force Veteran Retiree, enlisted during Korean War and served a year in Vietnam, highway department retiree, and most important faithful soldier for Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Evans; siblings, Charles, William “Buck”, Tom, Donald, and Clara Jane.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca Evans, Patricia (Mel) Hill, Ronald G. (Lori) Evans, Laura (Darrell) Park, and step-son, Phillip (Tammy) Petre; 9 grandchildren, Bethany, Mandy, Brittany, Toni, Glenn, Evan, Olivia, Lydia, and Steven; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Eastside Baptist Church, in Lonoke, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery. A visitation will be from 3:00-5:00PM on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, Arkansas.
