Glenda Allison

Glenda Joyce (Burgess) Allison 65, born on September 25,1953 to J.S. Burgess and Ella Mae (Horton) Curry of Lonoke died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on April 27, 2019 after fighting a brief illness. She was married to her loving husband Fred for 46 years and was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Glenda retired from Maybelline after 34 years where she earned many high praises and awards. She graduated from Lonoke High School and loved her Jackrabbits. Glenda was a member of New Testament Baptist Church of Lonoke and she loved her church and the Lord.

Glenda is survived by her husband Fred Allison (Lonoke), brother Dickey Burgess (Judy), sister Donna (Cecil) Hall, sister Henrietta Curry Odom, sister Mary Curry, brother Larry Curry (Sherry), and sister-in-law Patsy Revis (Roland). She is also survived by her cousins Rhonda Marsh (Randall) and Karen Gautney (Richard).

Glenda was the best Aunt anybody could have ever wanted in their corner. She is survived by her nieces Kim Garrett (Scott), Jennifer Bailey (Brent), Stephanie Davis (Floyd), Jody Revis, Jackie Lee, Christy Burgess, Heather Burgess, Angela Curry Corkran (Lynn).

Glenda is survived by nephews Rick Burgess (Jennifer), Alton Curry (Jennifer), Chase Williams (Cody), Gary Burgess Jr (Nikki), Donald Akin (Patricia), Stacy Akin, Kevin Burnett (Connie), Sam Harrell (Robin), Travis Harrell (Vickey), and Jeremy Harrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents J.S. Burgess and Ella Mae (Horton) Curry, stepfather James Curry, grandparents Richard and Ollie Horton and brother Gary Burgess, Sr.

Glenda leaves behind a large group of great nieces and nephews she loved with all her heart and who loved and cherished her as well as many close friends and her beloved dog and companion Bubba.

Her visitation will be at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, AR on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 11am at New Testament Baptist Church in Lonoke, AR with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lonoke, AR.
