Hardy Butler

Hardy William Butler of Lonoke joined our Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was born March 10, 1928 to Clarence and Mae Butler of Lonoke. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Patricia Jones Butler; three sons, Hardy and wife Judy of South Carolina, Robert and wife Lisa, and Patrick and wife Valerie, all of Lonoke; one sister Juanita Humphries of Kentucky; grandchildren, Sandy Butler, Westley Butler, Consuela Flurry, Pilar Porter, Nicholas Butler, Stephanie Dalton, Kim Gibbons, Marty Helms, David Helms, Robert Helms, and Wayne Helms; 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Woodrow Blanchard. He was an AP&L serviceman for 43 years, chief of auxiliary police, volunteer for the fire department, a mason, and an alderman for the city. A special thanks goes to caregivers Carla McDonald and Tim Ness. Visitation is Sunday, May 19, 2013, 2-4 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Service is Monday, May 20, 10:00 a.m.  at the funeral home with Freddie McCann officiating. Interment will follow in Brownsville Cemetery.
