James Cook

James Darrell “Jim” Cook, 75 of Lonoke passed away on August 23, 2020. He was a graduate of Lonoke High School and a long time Farmer in Lonoke County. Jim loved his afternoon drives where he loved to admire the surrounding crops and was always willing to help anyone in need. Preceding him in death are his parents, John and Bernice Cook; brother, John Wayne "Bud" Cook and granddaughter, Lauren Papasan. He is survived by his wife Shirley Cook; son, Jason Cook; grandchildren, Kennedy and Mitch; sister, Anna Landrum; several nieces and nephews, especially Michelle Hettel and Stanley Landrum, who helped care for him and visited daily. Visitation will be 6-8 PM on Thursday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 28 in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Following the Covid-19 requirements, we ask that everyone please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
