Jeremy Hampton, 43, of England, Arkansas passed away February 6, 2023.
Jeremy was a man of knowledge, passion, arts, and politics. He would always keep his families’ bellies full with delicious meals, including his frequently requested corn chowder and collard greens. When he wasn’t cooking, he had many other passions. He was a devout Catholic and gifted singer, he therefore learned Latin in order to cantor on Catholic Holidays. He loved soccer, and was a huge fan of Manchester United. He also loved listening to podcasts, as well as watching YouTube videos on topics that ranged from music to political commentary. A fervent activist, he often spoke up against the oppression of marginalized communities. He held out a hand to anyone in need, and consistently advocated for understanding and compassion. This blended into his love of music. He had eclectic taste; he enjoyed opera, R&B, rap, country, and musicals. Some of his favorite artists were Dolly Parton, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, Big Mama Thornton, Etta James, and Lin Manuel Miranda. He made enduring friendships through his work. He adored and treasured his Atlas family. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
