Kenneth Lee Sumner

Kenneth Lee Sumner, 55, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed into the arms of the Lord on October 22, 2024. Kenneth was born July 2, 1969, in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Richard and Mary Sumner. 

Kenneth graduated from Carlisle High School and went onto college getting a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and became a certified public accountant. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting or fishing any chance he could, and a member of the Arkansas Waterfowl Association. Kenneth was a member of the Lonoke Baptist church and spent 24 years helping teach Sunday School. He was a very caring and kind man, and completely devoted to his family. Kenneth met and later married the love of his life Angela Pinson Sumner and together had two children. This December they would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. Kenneth will be greatly missed by many. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard “Ricky” Sumner; sister, Martha Ann Sumner; and his grandparents. 

Left to cherish his memory; wife, Angela Katherine Sumner; son, Matthew Reid Sumner; daughter, Mary Katherine King (Tanner); mother, Mary Wells Sumner; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nephews and nieces. 

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, October 25, 2024, at Boyd Funeral Home. Services will be 11:00 am Saturday October 26, 2024, at the Lonoke Baptist Church with burial to follow at Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Waterfowl Association P.O. Box 661 Lonoke, Arkansas 72086. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
