Louis Hicks

Louis Nelson Hicks, 56, of Carlisle, died on September 9, 2014 at his home. He was born on April 20, 1958 to Wineford and Katherine Skipper Hicks of Carlisle. Louis was a U.S. Army veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a Carlisle High School graduate.
Survivors are his father, Wineford Hicks of Carlisle, and a brother, Steve (Shelia) Hicks of Greenbrier. Also surviving are many other family and friends, including Becky Almond, Nelson Ingle, Kim Roland, a sweet girl Mary Elizabeth Roland, and Chad Hicks.
Louis is preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Hicks and grandparents, Louis and Rosa Hicks and Ira Nelson and Goldye Skipper.
Funeral services are Friday, September 12, 2014 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service in Carlisle cemetery at 2:00 p.m. www.boydfuneralhome.net
