Ludilla Thomas

L. Lorene Penn Thomas, 74 of Hazen went to her heavenly home on January 19, 2013. She was born on November 29, 1938 in Hazen to Rev. Russell and Sylvia Penn. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother David Penn. She is survived by four sisters, Clara (Willie) Fisher, Luada Smith, Ruby Thomas and Linda Lemons; three brothers, Joe  (Donna) Penn,  Russell (Nelda) Penn, Jr. and Darrell Penn. She is also survived by her children, Kaye Jefferson, Tracie ( Marlon) Blackwell, Mark (Charlene) Thomas, Katherine (David) Lapp, Cathaleen Harms, Chris (Yolanda) Curlett, Nicole (Abner) Ortiz, and Lisa Curlett; also surviving, 29 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends which include her special longtime friends, Alice Stovall Swanigan, Rita Bracy, and Kena Washington. She was a devoted member of Prairie Chapel MB Church in Hazen, where she enjoyed playing the organ. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 25 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Chapel MB Church with burial to follow at Green Grove Cemetery in Hazen. Online guest book, www.boydfuneralhome.net.
