Mary Jean "Boody" Pack

Mary Jean "Boody" Pack, 73, passed away peacefully with family at Hickory Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.  There, she was blessed with many new friends and taken care of with love and compassion. 

Boody was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Samuel Eugene Pack and Mary Pierce Pack. She grew up and spent most of her adult life in Lonoke, Arkansas. She was baptized as a member of Lonoke Baptist Church. She was a member of Order of the Rainbow for Girls, she served as Grand Fidelity of Arkansas Grand Assembly in 1968. She played on the Jr and Sr high Lonoke basketball team, pitcher of the softball team, and was active in the Pep club. 

After graduation Boody attended Draughon School of Business and worked for USF&G Insurance and Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission. 

Boody was a devoted Christian, prayer warrior, an amazing friend to countless people, a second mom to her nieces and nephews. 

She was a bright light, Life of the party. Boody never met a stranger. She always made you feel loved and treasured. Her smile always lit up the room. 

Mary Jean "Boody" was preceded in death by both parents, and her brother, Samuel Eugene Pack, Jr. 

She is survived by her sister, JoAnn (William) Hutchens, of Lonoke Arkansas. Nieces and Nephews - Holly Hutchens of Lonoke, Kim Heuck (Darrel), of Lonoke, Shawn (Kim) Pack of Benton, Jennifer Bradford, of Brandon, Florida and Josh Pack, of Gulfport, Florida, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, and a great-great-niece.

Graveside service is at 2pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Lonoke Cemetery Pavilion. Everyone who loved Boody is welcome to join us at the service.
