Mary Louise Pinson, 101, of Carlisle, Arkansas, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2025. Louise was born in Lonoke, on August 16, 1923 to Johnie and Effie Wilson. Louise grew up in Lonoke and graduated from Lonoke High School. She married George Austal Pinson on December 17, 1946, and remained his loving and devoted wife until his passing in May of 1992. She worked at Fulcher’s hardware for many years. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church and served as Sunday school teacher and was a choir member. She truly enjoyed serving in her church, painting, and playing bridge with her friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Johnie Wilson and Effie Honeycutt Wilson; her husband, George A. Pinson; sons, Kenneth Pinson and David Pinson; daughter, Phyllis Watson and son-in-law John Ford Watson; grandson Johnie Watson, granddaughter, Kimberly Royer and grandson in law Kenneth Sumner.
She is survived by daughter in law, Nancy Pinson, granddaughter Angela Pinson Sumner, grandson Craig Pinson (Stephanie). Great grandchildren, Nick Watson (MK), Matthew Sumner, Mary Katherine King (Tanner), Max Pinson, Cooper Pinson, Natalie Pinson, Conley Pinson, Rachel Cartwright (Blake), Lilli Royer, Blayne Horton (Brooke), Matt Horton (Erin).
Visitation will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Carlisle. The funeral service begins at 2:00pm with burial at Carlisle cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
