Nathan Hutson Way, 74, life long resident of Humnoke, passed from this life to heaven on July 14, 2013 in the caring hands of the staff of Baptist Health Medical Center North Little Rock, with his family by his side.
He was born August 6, 1938 to the late Elmer and Elsie Way.
He survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy (Tipton) Way, son Emery Way and wife Gwen of Humnoke, daughter Nancy Crump and husband Michael of Humnoke, 3 grandchildren, Michael Way and wife Amy of Humphrey, Bailey Crump and Reagan Crump of Humnoke, Sister Shirley Munnerlyn and husband Larry of Little Rock. He is also survived by his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
As well as serving in the US Army, Hutson was a life long farmer who could fix anything with anything. Hutson served as a fireman for the Humnoke Volunteer Fire Dept for nearly 50 years and Fire Chief for 29 years where he never met a stranger and was always willing to help those in need.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Humnoke. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 19 at the church, burial following in Carlisle Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
