Odessa Jones

Odessa Jones, 71, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22nd.  She passed away peacefully while being embraced by her daughter.  Born in Lonoke, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Aaron and Nancy Givens. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Lonoke. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, RS Jones, and her son, Trunda Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Orlanda DeSaussure, granddaughter, Shaina DeSaussure and grandson, Charles DeSaussure II as well as her two sisters Alice Rufus and Essie Johnson.

The viewing/visitation will be held at Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, March 2nd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The service will be held at St. John Baptist Church of Lonoke on Saturday, March 3rd at 11:00am.
