Robert Byron Buchanan

Robert Byron Buchanan, 49, of Lonoke passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019. He was born April 2, 1970, to Robert W. and Brenda Buchanan.
Robert, known as Byron to his family and hometown, was a 1988 graduate of Lonoke High School. He received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
He was the "go-to" guy for many when it came to computers. He could build one from scratch or just clean up the mess left behind by the less tech-savvy. His endless patience was just what novice computer users needed when learning the basics. He loved reading, watching movies, and gaming and had recently rediscovered the joy of fishing. He was happy to be under the command of a solid black rescue cat named "Boo."
He is survived by his son, Alex Buchanan, and wife, Kylie, of Cabot; parents, Robert W. and Brenda Buchanan of Lonoke; sister, Beth Buchanan of Lonoke; family members, Jeanetta and Ginger DePriest; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There were few things Byron liked less than memorial services, and he made it very clear that he did not wish to have one. His family suggests that you take a loved one to a movie or try a new restaurant in his memory, as these were two of his favorite pastimes.
