Elmore, uncle Gerald and aunt Judy Henry and uncle Alfred Henry, whom he grew up with and was like a brother.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Luke and Eva Louise Henry and Paul and Ottie Thompson, aunt Carolyn Henry Sisson and a cousin, Michael Shane Henry.
Russell loved Razorback football games, hunting and fishing. He was an outdoors man. Russell accepted the challenges he faced in life and dealt with them with integrity and dignity. He was a very strong man and did not ever feel sorry for himself and he did not want others to feel sorry for him as well. As his health deteriorated to the point he could no longer keep going his heart did not. Russell taught us all something before his passing. His faith is strong and his heart is even stronger. A six foot tall vision in white came to him one night and showed him the light, he said they have been waiting a very long time for him. Then he was running free in a field with no pain and the sun was bright on his face and he lay on his back and he said he looked up at the blue sky and talked to God and he made a promise to him. He said the promise was just between him and God. He was baptized a few nights later on September 26 and he felt good in his heart about going to Heaven, he was not scared anymore, he was ready.
