Ruth Morgan

Ruth Irene Phillips Morgan, 86, of Carlisle entered her heavenly home on Saturday, January 21, 2017. Born February 21, 1930, she was the oldest of seven children born to the late Otha Finis Phillips, Sr. and Bertha Hildey Daniels Phillips. She was a lifetime homemaker and a member of Walters Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe “Billy” Morgan, son Joseph “Tony” Morgan and his wife Glenda Sue “Susie” Morgan; two sisters, Ola Putt and Joyce Ingle; three brothers, Otha Finis “Junior” Phillips, Jr., Roy Phillips and Wayne Phillips. She is survived by three children, Myra (Johnny) Relaford, Darrell (Yvonne Simpson) Morgan and Janet (Donnie) Pasley; nine grandchildren, Barbara (Phillip) Fuller, John (Brandi) Differ, Tommy Joe (Cynthia) Morgan, Billy Ray (Emily) Morgan, Erica (Trey) Tuttle, Andy Morgan, Courtney Morgan, Hollie (Whitney) Jones, Randall (Amy) Pasley; 14 great-grandchildren, Braden Differ, Hunter Differ, Riley Morgan, Bethany Morgan, Jagur Morgan, Gabby Morgan, Caleb Tuttle, Stormy Tuttle, Kathryn Tuttle, Will Morgan, Holden Jones, Morgan Jones, Kendall DePriest, Karr Graham; sister Etta (Herman) Edens and sister-in-law Phyllis Phillips; her best friend Debbie Mealor, and a host of family and friends, especially her church family and friends at Savage Square Apartments in Carlisle.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25th at Immanuel Baptist Church in Carlisle, with the funeral service following there at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.
The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to Walters Chapel Baptist Church in Carlisle.
