Sandy Canterberry

Sandy Canterberry, 57, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away on November 28, 2022. She was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas on September 8, 1965, to Carroll and Brenda Canterberry.

After Sandy graduated from Lonoke High School in 1983 she went on to study nursing at Baptist School of Nursing, later gaining her Masters of Science in Nursing where she would go on to become an Advanced Practice Nurse. Sandy was a nurse for 37 years, a profession she was passionate about. Sandy had three daughters whom she loved deeply and referred to as “her world”. She lived by love and faith and her kindness was known to all. Sandy loved to sing and dance and brought a smile and a laugh to everyone she encountered.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Annabelle Gentry and paternal grandparents, O.A. and Bedie Canterberry.

Along with her parents, Carroll and Brenda Canterberry, she is survived by her daughters, Morgan Bhatia, Ashleigh (Dirk) Tanner, and Anna Himstedt, as well as her sister, Stacy (Billy) Whitfield and niece and nephew, Callie and Jake Whitfield. She is also survived by her uncle, Bubba (Linda) Gentry and cousins, Shannon (Jimmy) Tidwell and Chad (Mollie) Gentry and many more loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Lonoke Baptist Church with burial to follow at Brownsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 12:30PM at the church.
