Sharon Ruth High, age 65, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 17, 2020 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Mowrer and brother, Bobby Mowrer.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard; children, Ricky High (Candice), Teresa Butler (James), father, James Mowrer; brother, Jeff Mowrer (Earline); sister, Brenda Williams (Dean)and Elizabeth Campbell (Tony); granddaughters, Brooke Butler and Skye Butler; grandson, Jackson “JB” High; along with many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Sharon was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where for many years, she was song leader and Sunday school teacher.
She was employed at the Lonoke County Extension Service all her adult life where she retired after 42 years of service.
She loved to take pictures – LOTS OF PICTURES! She enjoyed hiking, traveling on cruises and tour bus trips to many US Natural Parks.
She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and mamaw. She was loved by not only her family but a host of friends and church family.
Special thanks to Arkansas Hospice for their care in her last months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at New Hope Church with burial to follow at Wattensaw Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church.
