Sherry Hovater

Sherry Raney Hovator, age 66, of Ward, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Born on May 5, 1955 in England, AR to the late L.D. Raney and Joyce Wallace Raney, Sherry lived her life supporting others. She had an unquenchable thirst for fun and adventure. Sherry is finally at peace in the loving arms of her Lord and with her family that have gone before her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, husband, Roger Hovater, brother, Charles Adams, sister-in-law, Zetty Raney, and her beloved dog, Oscar. She is survived by her children: Lesley Carroll of Waco, TX, Jeremy Hovater of Cabot, AR, and Melinda Tenison (Shane) of Hickory Plains, AR as well as 9 grandchildren, her partner, Robert Kinney, and his family including 4 children and 7 grandchildren that she loved as her own, her siblings, Lisa Freeman (Doug), Gary Raney, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, October 16, at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church 7474 Hwy 86N, Hazen, AR 72064.
