Shirley Lewis Collier, 77, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on April 25, 2021. She was born on September 25, 1943 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Walter and Daisy Lewis.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Bill and Jerry Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Collier; sons, Billy Joe and Thaddeus Collier; sister, Karen Lewis (Terry) Masching; two grandchildren, Colton and Zane Collier and by great and loving friends, much too many to name.
Shirley graduated from NLR Old Main High School in 1960. She then graduated from cosmetology school, which launched a 50+ year long career as a talented beautician touching the lives of thousands with her gentle and loving spirit and quick whit while tending to her clients’ cosmetic needs.
Shirley was an avid reader known to often read two to three books a week, loved animals, particularly her dog “Baby Girl”, gardening, painting with watercolors and flowers of all varieties, of which red roses were her favorite.
She will always be remembered in the hearts of those that knew and loved her – may her memory be eternal.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Lonoke Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the cemetery prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM.
Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
