Thomas Hassen

Thomas Sam Hassen, 87, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away June 5, 2023. He was born in Judsonia, Arkansas on March 28, 1936, to the late Sam and Elsie Hassen.

Thomas worked for Arkansas Electric Co-op and retired after 35 years. He attended and was a member of Briarwood Baptist Church and Arkansas Nailbenders. He was also a proud veteran of the Army National Guard.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by, Tion and Erma Hassen; Sam and Joyce Hassen; Ray Hassen; Geneva and Jim Moore; Zelma and Tom Thurgood; and nephew, Chris Hassen.

He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Clara Geneva Hassen; children, Rebecca Reynolds, Kristie (Randall) Harrison, of Dover; Randy (Janice) Hassen, of Norman; grandsons, Nathan Harrison, and Clint (Kimberly) Harrison; granddaughters, Kate, and Karly Hassen, of Vilonia; sister, Janie (Carthel) Clark, of Hot Springs; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Sylvania Cemetery.
