Thomas Albert Miller, age 74, of Lonoke passed from this world on February 6, 2013. He was born at Walters Chapel to Florence and Clint Miller and raised in Carlisle. There, with his life-long friends, he developed a passion for life and bison.
From there he went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard, graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College, taught drafting at North Little Rock High and retired from Miller Bait. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and The United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his sisters, Jo Eva, Mary Etta, Kathy (Chuck) and his brother, Jimmy (Carla); also, by his wife Lou Ann and his children, Tammie, Stan (Julie), Jennifer (Keith), Callie (David), his grandsons, Seth (Alyssa), Cory, Luke, William, Jacob, Ben, Winston, Judson, Jude, and granddaughters, Tara, Brittany, and Maddie, and great-granddaughters Haylie and Laynie.
He loved his God. He loved his family and he loved to hunt turkey. He loved with a great heart and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 12-1:30 p.m. prior to the funeral.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9 at Lonoke United Methodist Church with burial in Carlisle Cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
