Thomas Thrift, Sr

Thomas (Tommy) Thrift, Sr. also lovingly known as Grumpy, passed away April 1, 2020 at the age of 73. Tommy was born June 26, 1946 to Joseph and Viola (Baty) Thrift of Newport, Arkansas. Tommy along with his wife Patty and their two sons, Tommy and Ronnie moved to Carlisle, where he owned and operated his own plumbing business for over 30 years. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He loved to spend time with friends and family, picking and grinning. Tommy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patty Thrift; two sons, Tommy (Carol) Thrift and Ronnie (Angelia) Thrift; five grandchildren, Matthew (Kelley) Thrift, Taylor (Courtney) Thrift, Hailey Thrift, Whitney Swaim, and Sadie Rogers; eight great-grandchildren all of Carlisle, as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined later. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
