Wanda Stowers

Wanda Sue Stowers, 81, of Furlow passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born September 12, 1940 to William Ellis Martineau and Mayme Ruth (Finch) Martineau.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Dan F. Stowers, three children: Michael Stowers (Sarita), Christopher Stowers, Marti (Stowers) Dush (Dwayne), and four grandchildren: Brett Dush, Lukas Dush, Kareena Stowers, Shelby Stowers.

The most important thing in her life was spending time with family and friends. Concord Church has been the roots for her spiritual strength. Sue enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, reading novels, and working in the garden. She took great pride in her flowers, birds, and butterflies.

Sue dedicated 25 years teaching English in the Little Rock School District. Her creative techniques impacted many lives.

A Memorial service will be held 1:30 pm, Sunday, September 4 at Concord United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Concord United Methodist Church, Concord Cemetery Association, or Baptist Health Hospice.
