After a full, rich and devoted life to family and friends, Willie Lock Glover, also known as “Momo” to family has joined her Lord and loved ones on Sunday, March 14, 2021. She was born September 25, 1933 in Lonoke County, Arkansas to the late George Thomas and Elsie Holmes. Willie was the first of seven children, who are all deceased.
At an early age her family moved to North Little Rock where she went to school and graduated from North Little Rock “Old Main High School” in 1951. She worked at Worthen Bank and Trust Company where she was employed for 44 years. Willie first married Pete Lock and had a son, Paul, who has been a true blessing to all. After Pete’s death in 1975, Willie married Robert “Bob” Glover on June 10, 1992. Her family grew with three step-children, Gina, Lonny and Dana.
She was an active member of Lonoke First United Methodist Church where she loved her activities in the Agape Circle, being a member of the Salvation Army Woman’s Auxiliary, the Lonoke Book Club and Lonoke UMC Bible Study Fellowship. She dearly loved spending time with family in Houston. Willie enjoyed many “first” with her family in Montana such as; skiing, rafting, horseback riding, camping and many other activities she never thought she would experience - but truly had a thrill doing them all. She enjoyed all of her travels around the United States, either traveling by car, plane, train, snowmobile or boat with family and friends. She liked to shop and go to lunch with her girlfriends and enjoyed her life immensely.
Willie is survived by her husband, Bobby Glover; children, Paul and Christy Lock, Gina and Randy Webb, Lonny Glover and Dana Glover; grandchildren, Robert and Kathleen Lock, Jenny Webb Pekelnicky, Lizzie Webb Decker and Lee Glover; two great-grandchildren, Teddy and Eden Pekelnicky and to many grand-dogs to name. If she were here she would say “I Love you All”.
