Jimmie "Jw" Carter

Jimmie Woodrow “JW” Carter, passed away on July 11, 2022. He was born on April 16, 1947 to the late Jim and Lena Roach Carter in Tennessee. JW was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin Carter, Putt Carter, Haynes Carter and Roy Carter and sisters, Doris Mathis, Nellie Garringer and Carmen Colclasure. He is survived by his sons, John (Amy) Carter of Magnet Cove and James Carter of Grady; granddaughters, Lexie, Zoey and Abby Carter; nephew and caregiver, Jimmy Colclasure; best friend of 63 years, Dale Cash; friend and caregiver, Martha Holyfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, July 15, 2022 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Carlisle Cemetery.
