Karenda Ray

Karenda "Granny K" Ann Griffith Ray, 54 of Norphlet, passed away on March 26, 2022. She was born on March 27, 1967 in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Loving,  Dedicated,  Loyal, Beautiful, Amazing,  hardworking,  Determined, Graceful,  Outgoing, these are just some of the thousands of words to describe Karenda.
If she wasn't spending time with her grandkids or fur babies,  she was working with friends during her 19 plus years at Murphy, or she was out on a Wild adventure with family and friends.
Karenda brought light, laughter,  and happiness no matter where she was. The word Stubborn does not cover it when she had an idea to do something. No one could stop her. She could balance chaos simply with her presence, and always had a backup plan. She touched the lives of so many people and helped countless more. Karenda liked to stay behind the scenes but never turned away from a challenge.  She helped so many through lessons in life during her travels and now with her wings she can be with us all.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Thompson and her husband William “Billy” Ray. Karenda is survived by her father, Granville Alex Griffith; Ray Samaniego; her children, Dustin (Danielle) Samaniego and Jessica (Kevin) Healy; step-son, Cody Ray and grandchildren, Dominic Samaniego, Dallas Samaniego, Tristan DuBois, Brooklyn DuBois, Clarissa Sperka and Gabrial Sperka. Funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke with a visitation beginning at 2 pm. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
