Malvin Goode

January 18, 1925 — November 20, 2014

Malvin Earl Goode, 89 of Cabot went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born January 18, 1925. Malvin was a lifelong farmer and construction worker. He was a Mason for over 50 years, a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and a kind loving person who never met a stranger. Malvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, daughter Mary Burrows and grandson Greg Rester. Survivors are daughter Sandra (Maury) Rester of Fort Worth, Texas, Son-in-law Larry (Brenda) Burrows, Sr. of Bryant, two grandchildren Larry (Stephanie) Burrows, Jr. of Jacksonville and Kristi (Mike) York of Waco, Texas, three great-grandchildren Kinley Burrows, Clayton Burrows, and Kimberly Ann York, also surviving, a sister, Hazel Lyons of Lonoke,  brother-in-laws John Ginaris of Danville and Curt Kinnett of Houston, Texas, sister-in-law Jean Ginaris of West Monroe, Louisiana, one special niece Lori (Art) Cole and one special great-nephew Parker Cole along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 pm at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, November 24 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Cabot. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chris Morgan and Chambers Nursing Home for their excellent care, love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chambers Nursing Home Residents Christmas Fund, Carlisle. Arrangements are by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. www.boydfuneralhome.net
