Martha Douglass

Martha Lavon Moody Douglass, 88 passed away December 29, 2021 at her home in Beebe, Arkansas. Martha married John Glenn Douglass, Jr., December 23, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2015. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Beebe for 56 years, where she was a teacher, choir member and WMU director for over 50 years. Martha was preceded in death by her oldest son, Bob Douglass, her parents, John Edward and Jauquetta Moody and sisters, June Nelson and Dessie Long. Martha is survived by son, Ricky Douglass; daughter, Diana House; grandsons, John Douglass, David Douglass and Dustin House; granddaughter, Danielle House; six great-grandchildren and sisters, Mary Holcomb and Johnnie Faye Dillard. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Beebe. Burial will be in Walter’s Chapel Cemetery.
